If
you cut Plastics and/or Aluminum in your HAAS Machining Centers you
probably have already experienced the problem that arises with chips clogging the coolant sump drain.
In order to keep
the coolant flowing and not starving tooling for coolant, the sump
drain needs to be cleaned constantly - resulting in a lot of wasted time.
The
"CHIPINATOR", with it's patented design, presents the perfect
solution to keeping the sump drain free of chips (plastics or aluminum).
The
chipinator is easily installed - in minutes - in the grate of the
coolant sump drain. It uses the motion of the auger to rotate and keep
the area chip free.

specify the auger pitch of your HAAS Machining center (either
5" on most older HAAS VMCs -use the 5 spoke design shown in the
picture above - or 7" auger pitch - use the 4 spoke
design shown in the picture above for most newer HAAS VMC's).
